Here’s what Community CPR training covers:
Chest Compressions: Learning the correct technique for performing chest compressions to maintain blood flow to vital organs during a cardiac arrest.
Rescue Breathing: Learning how to provide breaths to someone who is not breathing on their own.
CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants: The course will teach different techniques for CPR depending on the age of the person needing assistance.
BLS typically includes:
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): This involves chest compressions and rescue breaths to help maintain blood circulation and oxygen flow to vital organs until normal heart function can be restored.
Clearing the airway: Ensuring the airway is open and clear, especially if the person is choking or having trouble breathing.
Use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator): If available, an AED can be used to shock the heart back into a normal rhythm during a cardiac arrest.
